Family
Families are the heart of our society and God's design for raising children. Whether you are a family with one or two parents, a blended family, or are family of grandparents raising grandchildren, H.I.M. wants to help your family grow stronger. We offer several programs and resources for the entire family.
Family Camp
H.I.M. Family Camp is a special time for your family to come together, and to connect with other families and God in a picture perfect New Hampshire Lake setting. For a week, we gather at Camp Berea in Hebron, NH on New Found Lake for a both structured programs and family fun at the Camp. Paul and Virginia also lead summer camps at Campus by the Sea on Catalina Island in California.
True Love Waits - Family Edition
As effective as the "True Love Waits" movement has been for individuals, without family support the staying power of the commitment to sexual purity is greatly reduced. With this fact in mind, "True Love Waits - Family Edition" was created. The day-long seminar is designed to help parents and teens work together to accomplish the shared goal of sexual purity.
Letters to My Daughters
A dad shares his heart and wisdom with his three daughters regarding a life-changing decision: marriage. Through 52 personal letters to Kari, Lisa, and Julie, Paul Friesen pens his insights on the importance of convictions, character, considerations, and chemistry as they relate to relationships.
So You Want to Marry my Daughter?
The top 10 questions every dad should ask and every young man should be prepared to answer before engagement (way before!)
If you’re a dad and want to know what kind of man you should be praying for your daughter — whether she’s two or twenty-two — consider the ten questions presented here. They draw a picture of a man who knows and loves God and who seeks to honor Him by serving his prospective wife and loving her “as Christ loved the church.” With wit and humor, Dr. Friesen shows the reader not only how to identify such a suitor, but how to be such a man.
Family Getaway Weekend
On a long winter weekend each year, H.I.M. families gather in a Boston- area hotel for a relaxing weekend of group meals, worship, devotionals , swimming and fellowship.
Family Mission Trips
There are many opportunities for individuals to be involved with mission trips, but very few opportunities for an entire family to serve together on a mission trip. H.I.M. sponsors a Family Mission Trip that not only benefits the people we mission to, but strengthens the participating families by serving others together.
Raising a Trailblazer
“How to get from here to there” is a question which surfaces time and time again during the journey of life. Whether it be in the arena of finances (from instability to security), maturity (from childishness to wisdom), contentment (from grumbling to gratitude), we are challenged all along the way to make positive passages and transitions.
